WHAT PEOPLE ARE SAYING ABOUT MICHELE

“Michele – the poet, the singer, the interpreter, full of surprises and delightful stories brings food to the soul.”

Alfred Caron
Director of Facility Operations
Four Seasons Centre for the Performing Arts

“I think Michele is incredibly talented and I think she’s a gifted songwriter.”

Liz Braun
Sun Media

“I was producing a CD for a young female vocal group and we were looking for the one last song that could cross over to mainstream radio. A friend sent me a song by Michele Mele "No one Hears Me" and it was perfect in every way. As it turned out this song is a definite radio consideration for the girls.”

Greg Kavanagh

“To launch the initial episode of my Internet talk radio series “Igniting Imagination with Nellie Jacobs” in October, 2008, I chose to interview dynamic Michele Mele. I knew her enthusiasm, honesty, and passion would set the standard for the creativity academics and specialists, creative business people, and extraordinary individuals who would be future guests. Michele was the first to readily share her life story and philosophy, while generously offering practical advice, ideas, and lessons learned. Later this year, “Making Opportunity Knock,” the first book in my Mining Your Resources book series, will be published. Michele’s remarkable candor and words of wisdom are once again featured—in Chapter One, “Never Too Old to Follow Your Passion”.

Nellie Jacobs

“Michele Mele exudes Joy from the moment you meet her, speak with her, listen to the first lyric and melody of her songs. Her passion for expressing an honest story allows her audience to connect to her music in an intimate and personal way.
As her vocal coach, its a pleasure to work with an artist so dedicated and focused to developing her natural instrument. Michele's positive, giving energy is unstoppable. I wish her every success.”

NAKED ON THE ROCKS

A One Woman Show
By MICHELE MELE

Toronto – NAKED ON THE ROCKS, a sassy one-woman show by Canadian jazz-singer songwriter MICHELE MELE is back at Revival after sold out runs in 2007. This time includes Russ Boswell,a household name to the Toronto Music scene, on bass and Marco Luciani on piano, who is coming in from L.A. just to do the show! Along with Russ and Marco will be Michele's brother, the illustrious John Mele on drums and multi talented guitarist Lou Bartolomucci all rippin' it up.

"A dazzling one-woman show that lets Mele strut her stuff — from jazz to rock to country, and all of it delivered with her trademark passion and energy." - Liz Braun. Toronto Sun

MICHELE MELE has done it all! Born into a family of professional musicians, she has been writing songs for over twenty five years and is a graduate of U of T in Music. She has directed plays, musicals and composes various classical works for orchestra and choir. Michele has released three albums in the jazz genre of original music. Her voice has been compared to Ani diFranco by the 20-year-old set and to Peggy Lee by older jazzers but she is, however, a true original with a vibrance all her own.

"By parenthesizing her original compositions within the format of a stage performance, MICHELE MELE has discovered the optimum forum for her unique talent. The next time that NAKED ON THE ROCKS or any of her future shows are scheduled, run — don't walk - to experience this rare and exceptional artist... but be sure to bring along your open heart, thirsty ear and a willingness to join Michele on her magical journey of spirit and song."

- Lesley Mitchell-Clarke www.thelivemusicreport.com

NAKED ON THE ROCKS is a playful, witty, intelligent and sensitive must-see show and the result of a year of tremendous personal growth and discovery for MICHELE. The music is inspiring and explores the world outside of jazz, crossing over to pop, Latin, rock, and country.
